Poetic synopsis

Slėnis, by Donaldas Kajokas

Aš numirsiu tarp mirtų
ironijos slėnyje prisikelsiu
tarp mirtų ironijos slėnyje
ir sėdėsiu tarp mirtų ironijos
slėnyje ar girdi ką jos kužda
ironijos slėnyje
                         – kad nėra
jokio slėnio ironijos pusėje

Valley (my free translation from the Lithuanian)

I will die among myrtles
in the valley of irony resurrect
among myrtles in the valley of irony
and will sit among myrtles in the valley of
irony can you hear what they’re whispering
in the valley of irony
                         – that there ain’t
no valley on the side of irony

In the month of delirious jingle bells, this ironic film by Andreas Pasvantis is a soul-saving poem, an anti-aging serum, or simply, a great short. What was it like, “Irony is the salt of existence..?” Enjoy these salty 01:35
